Cooking instructions

1. Slice 1 lb of fresh and cleaned morel mushrooms in halves, lengthwise.
2. In a ziplock bag, combine 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of onion powder, 1 tsp of salt and a pinch of black pepper.
3. Add a few mushrooms at a time to the bag to ensure they are all evenly coated.
4. Melt 1 stick of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the mushrooms cut-side down in the hot butter and cook for 6 to 7 minutes. Flip them and cook the other side for 5 to 6 additional minutes.
5. Fry in batches if you work with a small skillet. Place the fried mushrooms on a paper towel while you finish the others. Serve warm.
