Cooking instructions

1. Heat 0.5 tbs of vegetable oil in a frying pan.
2. Sauté 1 chopped onion for 2 minutes and add 2 crushed garlic cloves. Sauté until the onions are translucent. Reserve.
3. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Then add 1 cup of dry lima beans and the sautéed onion and garlic, as well as 1 chopped carrot, 1 tsp of italian herb mix, a pinch of salt and black pepper;
4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the temperature and simmer for 40 minutes. If the lima beans are not tender after this time, continue to cook them for another 5 to 10 minutes.
5. Take the pan off the heat and leave the lima beans aside for 20 minutes, with the lid on. Reheat for serving.
