Cooking instructions
1.
Leave the filet mignon steaks at room temperature for half an hour. Preheat the oven to 450°F.

Wrap a strip of bacon around each filet mignon steak. Use kitchen twine to fasten.

Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper and sear each side of the steak in a hot frying pan with some butter.

Place the frying pan in the oven and roast for 5 minutes. Carefully open the oven and turn the steaks onto the other side. Roast for another 5 minutes.

Take the pan out of the oven, cover the meat with tin foil and leave to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar if desired.
