How do you clean a turkey before cooking
When you buy a whole turkey, the giblets and the neck will generally be found inside the cavity. Take them out and discard them. If you decide to use them as well, wash them with cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. The turkey itself should also be cleaned thoroughly with cold water and patted dry. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after handling the turkey. The raw turkey should not come in contact with any other food you're preparing.
